"Leon. Wait.", a girl with wavy red hair wailed.
Her name is Alexandra Labienus, diva of Dawnhaven Academy, a music school. She rules everything except of her feelings, she had fallen in love with someone who will never see her, who will treat her like thin air. She balled her fists, her nails digging into her palms.
"Alexandra? Why are you here?", Ally, her friend, asked.
Alexandra quickly put on her Gucci sunglasses and turn to her friend, putting on her diva attitude.
"The reason I'm here is none of your concern. Why are you here?", Alexandra said accusingly. She never wanted to be such a bitch, treating her friends like trash and everyone else as enemies, but it's her way of survival.
"I was around the cornor and thought that I'd swing by.", Ally said in a small voice.
"Whatever. I wanna stay here for a while longer. Alone.", Alexandra said.
Ally nodded and walked towards the school gate. Alexandra pulled out her iPhone and keyed in Leon's number, tears dropping from her perfectly lined eyes.
The call went straight to voicemail.
Alexandra closed her eyes and began to recall what happened in the past hour.

"Alexandra? Wow, I didn't know that you attend this kind of event as well.", a good looking guy with a baseball cap on his head asked.
Leon Krause, the new guy from Germany, makes Alexandra's head spin. Despite of her diva attitude, she is after all still a 16 year old girl. She actually attended this Protect The Earth campign to be able to get close to him. To Alexandra, Leon is like magic, like a spell that surronds her and eats her all up. However, Leon tends to be more interested in Skylark Willowfall, a freak in Alexandra's eyes.
"Oh, hey Leon. Well, since I have nothing to do this weekend, here I am.", Alexandra shrugged, hiding her excitement.
"That's kind of you. How about helping me with these?", Leon said, holding a bag of plastic bottles.
"Of course.", Alexandra said.
"He seems impressed. So what should I do next? Flirt? Wait, not so fast. I'll just make some random conversation with him.", Alexandra thought to herself. She is surprised to see herself that fascinated to another person.
"So, Leon. How's your vacation?", Alexandra said causually.
"It's fine. I went on Ebay and bought this.", Leon pulled out a classy necklace, "Do you think a girl would like it? I thought that since you are the it girl, you might know more about these kinds of stuff than I do.", he smiled bashfully.
"Oh.", Alexandra gasped, half hoping that he'll say 'Gotcha' and give the necklace to her.
"It's terrible, eh?", Leon suggested, getting even redder.
"No. No, it's perfect.", Alexandra said quickly," But can I ask who the future owner of this necklace will be?". Alexandra bit her lip, praying that it is for her.
"Oh. It's...", Leon turned bright red, " It's for Skylark.", he looked at the floor.
Skylark? Alexandra couldn't believe what she just heard. Skylark Willowfall? Alexandra never thought that the girl who she always 'accidentally' bumps into is the girl that her crush crushes on. Alexandra never felt like such a loser, she is the it girl of Dawnhaven, ruling everything while everyone bows down to her. Except of Skylark Willowfall and her friends, they never attend social events and live in their own happy world, seeing everyone else, especially Alexandra's clique, like air. Alexandra trembled, trying to control tears bursting out of her big chocolate brown eyes.
"Skylark? Why? Why is it her and not ANYONE else?", Alexandra blurted out, surrendering to her emotions.
"What do you mean why?", Leon's warm hazel eyes turned icy cold, and Alexandra knew that she had said the wrong words.
"Can't you see that I like you? I, Alexandra Labienus, like you. I adore your kindness, your intelligence, and your creativity. I don't understand, what is it that Skylark has and I don't?", Alexandra shrieked, tears coming out of her eyes like a waterfall.
"Oh. I didn't know that.", Leon said in a calm voice, feeling the awkwardness between the two.
"Leon, listen. I'm sorry about what I said about.."
"Forget it.", Leon interrupted and ran off.
Alexandra couldn't do anything but to watch her crush run farther and farther away from her, she squinted until all she could see was a small dot.

Putting on her sunglasses, Alexandra stared off in the distance. Above her is the famous, beautiful sunset that belongs just to Glimmermount.
"At least I have you with me. Here.", Alexandra said, putting her perfectly manicured hands over her heart. Her beating heart.
